Write for us
Authentic Music Review welcomes thoughtful proposals about songcraft, lyrics, arrangement, recorded sound and the habits of listening. A strong contribution helps readers hear or understand something more clearly.
What makes a good pitch
Send a focused idea with a clear question, a proposed angle and a few lines about how the piece would unfold. Tell us what a reader might notice or take away. Keep the subject specific enough to handle carefully, while making its interest clear to someone beyond a narrow specialist circle.
The writing we welcome
We value original, well-shaped work that separates fact from interpretation and treats music with attention rather than easy praise or dismissal. Pitches may explain a musical idea, compare listening choices, trace a piece of musical context or suggest a fresh way to hear familiar material. Do not send confidential information or claim access you cannot substantiate.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page, choosing the editorial question option and including your pitch in the message. A proposal is not a commission; please wait for a reply before writing a full piece. Do not include material you do not have permission to share.
